getting closer!

We had our targeted ultrasound yesterday and I wasn't sure what to expect, but Iwas really amazed at the detail on the pictures we got! I can't believe we're this far along, it seems like it's going by very quickly! Especially since we've been busy starting up all the holiday craziness! Anyhow, here are some new ultrasound pictures of our little girl, and do you think she looks more like me... or Jeff?? :D

LOL! It's way hard to tell what she'll look like for sure, but we think she's cute :) Does anyone know when the baby usually turns head down though? The ultrasound tech said she's looking breech right now, and I don't want to scare myself cause I know there's probably tons of time for her to move, but still, a little bit of advice from you moms out there will help! :)

20 ish weeks

We had our 20 week appointment on Friday (Halloween) and I can't believe how fast this girl grows. Yes our doctor, who was dressed as Buzz Lightyear for the day, confirmed that we are indeed having a baby girl! Now Jeff really believes it, but after some of the costumes we saw teenage girls wearing that night... he's convinced that he's going to have to be her escort everywhere she goes. Ha ha! I love him and that he's already so protective :D Anyway, when the doctor was measuring her to see if she was measuring in at the right amount of weeks, she was measuring at about 21.5 weeks, so maybe down the road we'll get to bump up our due date! (keep your fingers crossed!!) I'm really thrilled about it all, and I am starting to feel like I show every so often. I finally caved and bought some maternity pants... see she is sitting so low, that my adorable low rise jeans were cramping her space, and by extention, me. I'm liking them so far :) Although I can't seem to find many shirts I like. Any suggestions on where to look for cute stuff, and any suggestions for the rest of this pregnancy are GREATLY appreciated!

4th tag

I saw this tag and thought it was a FUN idea!
go to your pictures, choose the 4th folder and the 4th picture inside the folder, then describe it.

(keep in mind I have a LOT of pictures from mine and Jeff's childhood saved on this computer, so bear with me :o) )

This picture was taken in California when I was probably 6 or 7, we had gone to California to go to Disneyland and one day stopped by the Cabbage Patch Hospital where they are COMPLETELY stocked floor to ceiling of Cabbage Patch dolls and we each got to adopt one. The people in the picture are the little old Cabbage Patch adoption lady, Angel Simmons. Stephani Bills (my cousin), then me and my sister Annie. One of the funnest outings I can remember as a child!

I tag whoever thinks this was fun!

Baby Judkins Update

I know you're all thinking I'm horrible at this blogging thing, and you're right. I hardly ever remember to do it, even though I know I have time. LOL! At our last ultrasound I realized how quickly babies grow! It's is too crazy going from one ultrasound where she was only as big as my pinkie finger and now to where her head is the size of my palm. You may have noticed also that I've been saying "she" and I guess it's okay to mention that at our last appointment we were told we're having a beautiful baby girl! (we will hope nothing changes at the next appointment since our families are already buying girl things :D) We're very excited and nervous and enjoying this whole process! Another thing I should mention, I haven't posted any pregnancy pictures... mostly because I don't have anything to show for it yet... as big as the baby is showing on the ultrasound, she hasn't really popped out my belly so far. We will be at 20 weeks the week of Halloween, so who knows!? I could wake up with a belly any day now. Maybe then I will feel more pregnant. The morning sickness still hasn't gone away and one of the worst days so far was Friday. That and the occasional cramping in my stomach are the only things that reassure me, that our baby is still there. I do have a little bit of an updated ultrasound to post on here so I hope you enjoy! And as soon as Jeff gets a minute, I will have him get a belly picture to post as well, and then we'll try to follow up every so often with the pregnancy belly progress :)
Hope all is well with everyone!!

16 Weeks

Jeff and I are officially in our 2nd trimester, and we're excited for everything! Tomorrow we're going to the dr for another ultrasound, and hopefully we will get to find out the gender. Then I can start shopping for cute things to decorate the baby room. I'm just starting to get a belly, and along with it a little discomfort. I've been getting more sick the further along I get, but it's part of the process :) I just feel bad for my poor husband who hasn't had dinner ready when he comes home since the beginning of August, the upside is that he eats everything that I start to eat, but then lose my appetite. He's super supportive and I love him. Feel free to send in your guesses on the sex, and any name suggestions you want to send along too! (especially boy names, we struggle agreeing in that area)

10 1/2 weeks

Okay, I am SOOO ready to announce. Drumroll please...
Jeff and I are expecting! It took what seems like forever, but we feel really blessed and we're already way excited! We will post more ultrasound pictures as they come available. But for now enjoy our little "peanut blob" :D

--Last post?

So I think we're going to be done posting on this for a while. As far as I can tell, not many people visit. And Jeff and I are really busy trying to re-do a bunch of things in our house. We're starting to get too busy to even think about posting on this, so I think we'll be done for a little while. Sorry for all those of you who read our stories :)
We will most likely be back sooner or later ;)
Until then, you'll get a hold of us quicker via email, facebook, or text messaging (our most basic form of communication) LOL!
Love you all!

** Updates & Reminiscing**

So since we’ve last posted a lot has happened!

Firstly Jeff got a promotion! YAY! 2nd I got a new job in the America First Mortgage Dept. AND, you guessed it!! A raise!! WOW our month of June went really well! I’m so excited to start my new job; I’m looking forward to learning and growing at every opportunity. Today was officially our first try at artificial insemination and I’m really nervous about it. I’ve been praying all day that it takes, and I really hope it does. Any who wants to, please help us out with a mention in your prayers. Every little bit counts!

Coming up on the 15th of July is our 2nd wedding anniversary. I’ve been with Jeff for 3 years in September. I’m so lucky to have this guy and I love him bunches!

Here are some pictures from the first time we met river rafting in Jackson Hole. I hope you enjoy the look on my face as much as Jeff does. (if you can’t find us we’re on the front left side of the raft and this was right before The Big Kahoona rapid where, sadly, I was thrown out of the raft and become lodged underneath the raft, and was almost lost to the river.

:| A new place? |:

Jeff and I have found a really great house in South Weber! We're in the process of putting in an offer on it because both our families live in South Weber and we want so much to be able to be closer to them. Meanwhile this week we are going to be working on getting our condo ready to list. We have to fix the kitchen floor, and get the new carpet put in, and then it's officially on "the market"
I don't know why, but saying that makes me feel really nervous, plus for those of you who know me, I'm very sentimental and to leave our first home will be harder than leaving my parents house when I got married (I cried for a week...) The thought of someone else living in MY house, makes me feel jealous and sad. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I get attached to things really easily, I think no matter where we lived at first, whether we bought a home, condo, or rented an apartment, I would have a hard time leaving. But this week, I'm putting on my brave face, and doing what it takes to get it all done, knowing that whatever happens, happens. Hopefully soon we'll know what life holds in store for us :)

On another note, Jeff and I still aren't pregnant yet, we have one more thing our doctor wants to try, and then I'm ready to give up on medical treatments, and just see what happens. We keep praying that our little family will start soon, and also realizing that we love the time we are able to spend with each other and strengthening that relationship is the most important thing.

Well, now you're all up to date on the going's on at the Judkins' house. Let us know what's going on with all of you!

*thoughts*

Today I got off work early and headed to the doctors office. For those of you who don’t know (not many) Jeff and I have been trying to have a baby for just over 18 months now. I went to the doctor because after my surgery in April, he told me I should come back in a few weeks and he wanted to run a pregnancy test if I hadn’t had a period (sorry for any guys who may be reading this…) in 2 weeks from that date. Well I waited the 2 weeks (actually a little over) and I went in today only to have my hopes destroyed once again. Yep, the test came back negative, so now I get to be put on some pills to start my cycle. Say it with me girls, something like “yay” with absolutely NO enthusiasm. I also get to start taking Clomid again. Hopefully this whole ordeal will be over within the next 2-3 months, but I guess you just never know! Sometimes the Lord has other plans in store for us, and I hope I can learn to be better at trying to understand that there might be some things I need to do first. I hope that I can spend my strength and energy being the best friend and wife for Jeff. I love him so much! And our life together is the best thing that we could wish for! He is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me and I hope I am taking the time to let him know how much he means to me. Babe I love you a million-bajillion lemon drops!! And no matter what happens over the next few months, you are my everything.

21. Who has more friends? I think we both have about the same, maybe Jeff if you include mission buddies.

22. Who has more siblings? Jeff is the oldest of 6.

23. Who wears the pants in the family? It's a shared role at our house, for the most part Jeff is the head, but I'm the neck that turns the head ;) If you know what I'm sayin.

This was fun! I should do more of these tags!

Thursday, May 1, 2008

So Yesterday was my 23rd birthday. At first I wasn't too excited about it all because Jeff ended up having to go to work because it is commencement for Weber State on Friday and they've been frantically trying to get ready for everything.
First thing in the morning though, I got bombarded with text messages from my sisters and my mom and my youngest sister's best friend Lauren. They were all full of happy birthday wishes, and oddly enough a recording of a song from Nacho Libre... LOL! But they all made me smile! I took the day off work, and though it might sound boring to some of you... I cleaned the WHOLE house and it feels great! After I had finished with my cleaning, it was about 12:30 and I headed out to play with the puppies outside, when all of a sudden Jeff came home!! It was the best thing ever! He came home early from work and we went and got lunch and he went and bought me 2 rosebushes to put in our garden. When we got home from that, there was this BEAUTIFUL boquet of flowers on our front porch. When I brought them inside and read the card, they were from my mommy! I love her so much! She had felt bad that she couldn't take me to lunch for my birthday because she had to work. I will post a picture of those flowers later...
Then Jeff made me the GREATEST dinner ever! He is the best cook! We had ribs and steak fries. I swear to everyone that my husband makes ribs better than ANY restaurant! It meant so much for him to make me dinner. I love you sweetheart! Now that I'm older I am realizing more and more that it really is the little things that make for the best gifts. I got a few gifts from Jeff and a few from his family, but the things that made me the most happy was him coming home from work and making me dinner, and the thoughtful flowers from my mom, and the corny Nacho Libre texts from my sisters. I've come to the realization that I need to appreciate the little things a whole lot more! I had a WONDERFUL birthday! Thank you to all my family and friends! I love you all!

flowers n such

So today while I was at work, one of the loan officers got flowers delivered to her. I like to call them “just because” flowers. For you lucky girls who get these “just because” flowers, I hope you know just how lucky you are! I haven’t gotten flowers since the day Jeff and I moved into our condo This was, I have to admit, one of the sweetest, most unexpected things he has ever done for me! They were the most beautiful red roses with a note attached “Looking forward to our eternity together. Love Jeff” Even now when I remember, it makes me teary-eyed. ( He can be so sweet sometimes)

I dried them and still keep them in a vase on the shelf of our entertainment center.

But still, I long to get some “just because” flowers one day. Who will join me in saying “guys, just because we said ‘yes’ doesn’t mean you don’t have to try anymore! We still try to do things to make you happy, give it a little more effort.”

I sometimes find that when I’m feeling this way; however, that rather than harping on my hubby to be sweet again I can just go through old pictures and memories of the times when he was. WARNING: This can also have the negative side effect of reminding you of MANY other things he used to, but doesn’t do any longer PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Sorry I'm still getting adjusted to this whole blog thing... tonight Jeff and I went to my little cousins' play Willy Wonka & The Chocolate factory where they played; you guessed it Oompa-Loompa's I have a few pictures from tonight's show, and I wanted to share them with all of you! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

I tried taking a few videos during the show, although they were from my digital camera, so wouldn't load the right way, but I will try to fix them.

And this is Annie with Hunter. (unfortunately by the time I got to them they had taken off their Oompa wigs)

And here's the only picture I could get Dausen to hold still for (if only he would've given me a cute smile... well you compare to a picture we got from him a few years ago and tell me which is better ;)

Well friends, hopefully there will be more interesting stories to come :D
Until next time!
